Today, it is one of the UK’s leadinguniversities with a thriving international community of almost 24,700 studentsin three faculties: Humanities and Social Sciences; Medical Sciences; andScience Agriculture and Engineering.

　　A founder member of the Russell Group of research-intensive universities,we are committed to research that addresses some of society’s most pressingneeds. Newcastle is ranked 8th in the UK for medical research power, and in thetop 12 in the UK for Science and Engineering research power. In 2016 weattracted £180 million in research income.

　　Our Medical School in Malaysia, NUMed offers full UK medical andbiosciences degrees in-country, while in Singapore we offer seven undergraduatedegree programmes ranging from engineering to food and human nutrition.
